Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Cold War

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni couldn’t even be in the same room to promote their movie. The co-stars of the Colleen Hoover adaptation ‘It Ends With Us’ completely skipped doing press together, which is basically a huge neon sign saying something went down on set.
The film, based on Hoover’s 2016 bestseller about domestic abuse, hit theaters with zero chemistry from its leads during the promotional tour. No joint interviews. No red carpet moments. Nothing. Instead, they did separate interviews and appearances — which is pretty wild for a movie that literally depends on the romantic tension between two leads.
Neither Blake nor Justin has publicly addressed the tension, but the missing press tour speaks volumes. Studios usually lock their co-stars in a room and make them do the rounds together. When that doesn’t happen? There’s beef.
The film itself adapted Hoover’s heavy subject matter about an abusive relationship, so maybe the intense emotional content of the story bled into their working relationship. Or maybe they just didn’t click. Either way, their absence from each other’s promo schedules is the kind of industry tea that doesn’t need explaining.
