Netflix Under FIRE for Michael Jackson Documentary

Netflix just dropped a new Michael Jackson trial documentary and the internet is absolutely losing it. The streamer is getting absolutely dragged for revisiting the King of Pop’s 2003 child molestation charges — and people are NOT happy about it.
Jackson, literally one of the biggest pop culture icons ever, faced multiple counts back in the early 2000s. The charges were massive, the trial was a media circus, and it left a permanent mark on his legacy. Now Netflix is dredging it all back up with a brand new doc, and fans are furious the platform is giving this another platform.
The backlash has been swift and brutal across social media. People are calling out Netflix for profiting off Jackson’s legal nightmare and questioning why they felt the need to rehash decades-old drama. Some are even threatening to cancel their subscriptions over it.
Netflix hasn’t backed down yet, but the pressure is definitely mounting. This is what happens when a streaming giant bets on controversy without considering how rabid Jackson’s fanbase actually is.
