The Worcester loss to Rochester—a 10-4 drubbing—tells a familiar story this season: the pitching can’t establish itself early, and the bats can’t compensate. That’s not a recipe for success at Triple-A, where hitters are disciplined enough to make you pay for lack of conviction. Here’s what matters: Brannon’s production in Portland suggests there’s at least some organizational depth developing at the Double-A level.
