Offset Gets Light Sentence in Weed Shop Assault Case

Offset is walking away from his assault case with a slap on the wrist. The Migos rapper—real name Kiari Cephus—was sentenced to 12 months of community service after being accused of attacking a security guard at an L.A. cannabis shop, according to court records obtained by TMZ.

The incident went down at a weed shop in Los Angeles, where things allegedly got heated between Offset and the security guard. Instead of facing jail time, the rapper will be doing community service to settle the criminal case.

It’s a pretty lenient outcome for what could’ve been a much messier legal situation. Offset’s legal team clearly worked some magic here, and he’s essentially getting a do-over without any prison time hanging over his head.
