Marcellus Wiley is in serious financial hot water. The former NFL star just got slapped with a court order to cough up over half a million dollars to Preferred Bank for a loan he apparently ghosted on. Yeah, we’re talking more than $500K.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Wiley took out the loan and then just… didn’t pay it back. The bank wasn’t about to let that slide, so they took him to court. Now a judge has ruled in the bank’s favor, and Wiley’s got to pay up — plus interest and legal fees on top of the original $500K.
This is the kind of financial mess that tends to follow celebrities who aren’t careful with their money. Wiley’s had quite the media presence over the years as a sports commentator, but clearly his bank account didn’t get the same attention his career did.
