The New England Patriots head coach and the New York Times’ top NFL reporter were photographed together in late March at Ambiente, an ultra-exclusive boutique resort in Sedona that overlooks the stunning Brins Mesa mountain range.

The two were caught hugging and holding hands during what appeared to be a romantic getaway. Vrabel, 49, is one of the NFL’s most respected coaches, while Russini, 36, is known for breaking major stories across the league. Their cozy desert rendezvous is raising some eyebrows — especially since Russini covers the NFL beat for one of the country’s most prestigious publications.
