RDJ Just Went OFF on Influencer Culture and We’re HERE For It

Robert Downey Jr. is NOT holding back. The Oscar winner just dragged modern celebrity culture — specifically the rise of influencers — and honestly? We can’t stop replaying it.
“When I hear people talk about, ‘Oh, the stars of the future are going to be influencers,’ I go, ‘I don’t know what world you’re living into, but I think that that is absolute horsesh—t,'” RDJ said, going absolutely nuclear on the whole influencer-as-celebrity trend.
The Iron Man legend didn’t elaborate further, but the message was crystal clear: he’s not convinced that TikTok dancers and Instagram models are the future of stardom. Given that RDJ spent decades building a legitimate acting career — complete with a MCU empire and comeback narrative that could rival most redemption arcs — we kind of see his point.
Whether you agree with him or not, you have to admit: there’s something hilarious about a man who literally helped define modern blockbuster culture calling out what’s next. The generational beef we didn’t know we needed.
