Sister’s quest for justice in unsolved Rhode Island case

Geri Houde hasn’t stopped looking for the person who killed her older sister. Not for a day.

The moment Houde learned her sister had disappeared, everything changed. Years have passed since then. Police still have no answers. But Houde keeps pushing—calling investigators, chasing leads, refusing to let the case go cold.

“It’s about justice,” she said.

For families of missing or murdered loved ones in Rhode Island, these cases become their life’s work. Houde knows the case details better than anyone. She knows what was found. She knows what wasn’t. And she knows that somewhere, someone has information that could break it open.

She won’t stop asking questions until she finds out what happened to her sister.

Based on reporting from WPRI.
