Six people still missing after cargo ship flips in typhoon

The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed Monday that an overturned ship found near Saipan is the cargo vessel that disappeared with six people aboard during a recent typhoon. The capsized boat was first spotted Saturday near the U.S. territory in Guam.

The Coast Guard is continuing its search for the six missing crew members. Details about the ship’s condition, the names of those missing, and what caused it to capsize have not yet been released.

Rescue operations in the area are ongoing as authorities work to locate the missing people.
