Adrian Grenier Just DESTROYED Nate in New Ad

Adrian Grenier is throwing his own character under the bus — and we’re here for it. The actor just addressed why his character Nate Cooper got axed from “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in a brand new advertisement, and honestly? He’s not wrong.
In the ad, Grenier basically admits what fans have been saying for years: Nate was kind of the actual villain of the first movie. Not Miranda Priestly. Not the fashion industry. Nate. The boyfriend who constantly complained about Andy’s job, made her feel guilty for being ambitious, and generally acted like a total wet blanket. Yeah, THAT guy.
“I get it,” Grenier essentially says in the spot, acknowledging that nobody really wants to see more of Nate’s whiny energy in the sequel. It’s a pretty hilarious mea culpa from the actor, who’s leaning into the fact that his character was absolutely insufferable. No hard feelings, no defensive quotes — just pure self-awareness and snark.
Fans are losing it over how perfectly Grenier read the room. Instead of pretending Nate deserved to stick around, he’s joining the masses in roasting the guy. That’s the kind of good humor we didn’t expect, but absolutely needed.
