Providence Man Runs Boston Marathon in Full Suit and Tie

Maurice Lowman crossed the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday dressed in a full suit and tie—not exactly standard marathon attire.

The Providence resident completed the 26.2-mile race in formal wear, turning heads along the route from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in Boston. Lowman finished the race, which drew thousands of runners from around the world to Massachusetts on April 21.

For Lowman, the marathon wasn’t just about the run. Boylston Street, where the finish line sits, held personal significance beyond being a typical marathon endpoint.
